Rob is Getting Stuff  Done!

Public Safety

Rob is one of eight selected local office holders representing the 38 cities in King County, serving on the Regional Law, Safety, and Justice Committee. He is a strong proponent of keeping the King County Jail and Juvenile Detention Center. We cannot justify housing those needing treatment and reformation in our neighborhoods which is the reality of the solutions being proposed. Additionally, he serves as the chair of the Snoqualmie Council Public Safety Committee.

Economic Wellness

Rob's experience in helping businesses spans his entire career.

When businesses were forced to shutter because of the Pandemic, Rob was there working tirelessly to get more than 90 businesses over $3 million in aid. He helped to save businesses and countless jobs.

A Champion for Local Jobs

When local employers needed to hire during and after the Pandemic, Rob created a hyper-local jobs board. Free to businesses, nonprofits, and governmental employers as well as jobseekers. In 2023, over eleven thousand jobseekers, and 125 employers used this platform.

Supporting Entrepreneurs

Rob founded SnoValley Innovation Center, a 501c3 nonprofit, in 2018 to help local entrepreneurs with technical resources. In partnership with Pacific Lutheran University's School of Business, he brings the resources and local experts together.

Vibrant Communities

Rob facilitated the historic Economic Alliance between the cities of Carnation, Duvall, North Bend, and Snoqualmie as well as the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe. The Alliance and SnoValley Innovation Center are working with the Washington State Department of Commerce, King County Department of Local Services, Seattle Metro Chamber, the SnoValley Regional Chamber and other organizations to find solutions to make our community more vibrant.

Highway 18 Safety Improvements

For the past decade, Rob has been championing the Highway 18 improvements now underway. While there is much work ahead, Rob not only helped to push this progress from almost the beginning, a lot of other people came along to support this. It also underscores the importance of regional cooperation which Rob believes should always be part of the solution.

Affordable Housing

It's more just talking about it, it is finding solutions. That's exactly what Rob has done for the past decade. As a private citizen, he has organized countless town hall meetings knowing action needed to be taken. He's served as an alternate to the King County Affordable Housing Committee. And now he continues that work with finding real solutions that are now in the formative stages as the chair of the Snoqualmie Valley Housing Task Force.

Environment

Rob is leading community-wide initiatives to help reduce our solid waste.

Last year, he hosted an recycling event, diverting four tons of e-waste and a half ton of Styrofoam from the King County Landfill by hosting a single four-hour event.

He followed that up by collecting nearly a ton of holiday lights. He values waster reduction wherever it makes sense.

Proven Leadership

Rob Wotton is the voice we need for all of Snoqualmie Valley. Protecting our past, finding workable solutions today, and leaving a legacy for future generations. Now more than ever, we need Rob's continued leadership!
