Meadowbrook Farm

I serve as the council liaison to the Meadowbrook Farm Preservation Association. This amazing piece of history started with the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe in time immemorial. Twenty years ago, the cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie worked with King County to assure it continues to be this amazing open space forever, saving it from potential development.

We are now working with the land's original stewards, the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe in creating a new twenty-five year management agreement. The Tribe's Cultural Land Preservation team is starting to conduct test-plots to reintroduce Camas, a native American plant, back the in the Meadowbrook eco-system.

We have all witnessed the wildlife that makes this their home too. There is nothing more capitvating than seeing the elk herd with the backdrop of majestic, breath-taking Mount Si. I am advocating for the Tribe's Biologists to be part of the wildlife management of this special place.

Meadowbrook has a rich history. I will continue to do my part to honor the generations that came before us, and to protect our natural resources here and elsewhere in our Valley.
